I'd love to see the Oilers make a run for Karlsson... offer up a package of Pulju, Bear and something.

Hawks will take Eakin. Would be a great fit as their 3C.

What does it take to get him?

I always liked PEB in Philly. When he actually played with guys who could do things like skate and complete a pass, he looked good. Usually he just played with 2 warm bodies and was on an island.

Hard to say Tyler. McPhee in negotiations is pretty tough, only signs team friendly deals, so I don't think he will get fleeced for his guys. That being said, Eakin is worth a decent prospect and a pick.

Let's say Sikura and let's say a third or fourth rounder?

Devs would love any of your top 3 RWs!!!! Assuming Stone is not available, but Touch/Marchy would be excellent!

Yes, Chris Vandevelde did him no favors. It's the same in Vegas, when Reaves/Carrier/Nosek look to get offense going, he thrives. When I talk to him, he has the Outlook for fitting in wherever he can. He looks to do what a Mark Stone or David Perron do, on a smaller scale. Do everything well enough to make the line work.

Call me crazy, but Alex Tuch is more untouchable to me than Stone. So young, good contract for 7 years, and a big body with speed. Stone is amazing, but crippling in regard to the cap. His line makes $23 million per year!

Hmmm... seems fair. Will keep my eye on you guys.

Vegas should be active this week leading up to the draft.

Unfortunately I think Gallant loves Engelland and will want him back. Hopefully McPhee lets him walk.

I’m sure he’s a great locker room presence and all but his play does not warrant a top 6 spot.

Too high for a guy they willingly benched at times. Teams will covet him as a good skating RHD with a big shot.

GMGM may try too hard to drive up the price, when teams know he and/or Eakin have to be dealt. I'm sure he's looking for at least a second round pick and a cheaper player.

Don't think they would roll the dice on low salary NHL ready players in lieu of picks ?

They don't really have that need, honestly. Their roster will be pretty set once they clear enough space. Main issue is needing to cut salary.

Vegas is going to have to trade a couple of somebodies in order to sign anyone of their RFAs or UFAs, They are already over the $83mm projected cap hit and if it goes down to $82mm they are in even worse shape. Add to this the fact that the Clarkson contract isn't going anywhere because David has a NMC and he currently pays zero State tax. He isn't going to consent to move his contract and pay more tax..not unless he is dumber than AOC.
You need a backup goalie and Subban is probably the best of your cheap options . If you trade Holden for picks and sub in Whitecloud as 3RD RD pairing that gives you the ability to sign Malcom. You'll need to trade Reaves and Eakin for picks to sign Karlsson and have 4 centers down the middle. You might have to trade Theodore since he doesn't have a NMC , along with Haula who is UFA next year to get the rest of your roster filled out. The problem is worse next year because you have $62mm tied up in 11 players and need 12 more for $20mm+ total..It's a good time to see how well the new and old GM are able to wiggle out of this fine kettle of fish Ollie
